In my Mercer County precinct, turnout was about 15% of registered voters - where we easily hit 80s% in an "important" election. It is easy to see why though; State Committee was the only race on the entire ballot where there were more candidates (by one) than positions available. Uncontested elections do not draw vote-casting crowds. I blame the State and Counto Committees for this, because they tilt the playing field in contested contests and intentionally do not recruit candidates when there is only their one selected candidate. The Committees are killing voter participation. Yes, the fix is local, and the locals can see when the fix is in.
