We’re Not Going to Save America by Sitting on the Sidelines
I’ve spent the last several years traveling, speaking, organizing, and encouraging Americans to get involved in the future of our country.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
There is no shortage of Americans who are concerned about the direction of our nation. What we’re missing are enough Americans who know what to DO about it.
We watch the news. We share articles. We debate politics on social media. We get frustrated with our elected officials.
And then what?
I don’t say that to criticize anyone. I understand the frustration because I’ve lived it.
But somewhere along my own journey from an ordinary mom who wasn’t particularly interested in politics to someone deeply involved in election integrity, constitutional education, and grassroots leadership, I discovered something that changed my perspective.
Saving the Republic isn’t just about winning elections. It’s about rebuilding a culture of informed, engaged, and responsible citizens.
And that work starts much closer to home than most people realize.
What Does Saving the Republic Actually Look Like?
On Saturday, October 24th, I’ll be hosting a special Patriot Academy event at All Access Church in Claridge, Pennsylvania, called Saving the Republic: One Community at a Time.
And I want to personally invite you to join us.
This isn’t going to be another afternoon of sitting in an audience listening to someone tell you everything that’s wrong with America.
Trust me. We can all make THAT list.
Instead, we’re going to spend four hours exploring something far more productive.
What can ordinary Americans actually DO to make a difference?
If you’ve ever attended one of my events, you already know that I don’t particularly enjoy talking AT people for hours.
I like interaction. I like questions. I like conversation. And I especially love watching someone have that moment when a lightbulb goes off and they realize they have more influence than they thought.
That’s what we’re going to do together.
We’ll explore several of the educational programs available through Patriot Academy, an organization dedicated to equipping citizens with the knowledge, character, and leadership skills necessary to preserve our constitutional Republic.
You’ll get a taste of programs like:
Constitution Alive! — Discovering the Constitution and the principles of government our Founders established.
Biblical Citizenship in Modern America — Exploring the relationship between biblical principles, American history, and our responsibilities as citizens.
Rebuilding Liberty — Learning how we can restore the foundational principles of freedom in our communities.
Chasing American Legends — Bringing American history to life through the remarkable people and stories that shaped our nation.
Leadership Congress — Investing in the next generation of American leaders.
And we’re not just going to talk about these programs.
We’re going to experience portions of them together.
My goal is that you’ll walk away with more than information. I want you to leave with ideas, resources, and a renewed sense of purpose about what you can do right where God has planted you.
But There’s Something Extra Special About This Event
This might be the part I’m most excited about.
We’re going to have THREE Patriot Academy Leadership Congress graduates joining us in person!
And if you’re wondering why that matters so much to me, let me explain.
One of the questions I hear frequently from Americans who are concerned about our nation’s future is:
What are we leaving behind for our children?
It’s a fair question.
We talk about the national debt they’ll inherit, the political divisions they’re growing up in, and the challenges they’ll face as adults.
But I think we sometimes spend so much time worrying about what the next generation is inheriting that we forget to ask another question.
What are we doing to prepare them to lead?
Enter Patriot Academy’s Leadership Congress.
It’s an opportunity for young people to study our founding principles, learn about constitutional government, develop leadership skills, and discover that they don’t have to wait until they’re older to make a meaningful difference.
And on October 24th, you won’t have to take my word for it.
You’ll get to meet three young people who have actually participated in the program.
You’ll hear about their experiences, what they learned, and how those experiences have influenced the way they think about leadership, citizenship, and their own futures.
I think there’s something incredibly powerful about that.
It’s one thing for adults to stand on a stage and talk about the importance of investing in young people.
It’s another thing entirely to put those young people in front of you and let you see the investment firsthand.
I hope you’ll come ready to be encouraged.
Because for all the discouraging headlines we see about America’s future, there are also some pretty remarkable young Americans preparing to lead.
And I think we need to spend a little more time celebrating THAT.
You Don’t Have to Run for Office to Make a Difference
Here’s another thing I’ve learned.
When people hear the words get involved, they often assume that means running for office, joining a political organization, or spending every waking moment immersed in politics.
And while those things certainly have their place, they’re not the only ways to make a difference.
What if you hosted a Constitution class in your living room and invited your neighbors?
What if you encouraged a high school student to attend Leadership Congress?
What if you simply started having better conversations with the people around you?
Those things might not generate national headlines.
But they can change lives.
And when enough lives are changed, communities begin to change.
That’s the vision behind Saving the Republic: One Community at a Time.
It’s not about waiting for someone in Washington, D.C., to fix everything.
It’s about recognizing that we have responsibilities as citizens that cannot be delegated to elected officials.
And the good news?
You don’t need a political science degree, a fancy title, or thousands of social media followers to get started.
You just need to be willing to learn and take that first step.
America Turned 250. What Happens Next?
As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday this year, I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary responsibility we have as Americans living at this particular moment in history.
Two hundred and fifty years ago, ordinary people made extraordinary sacrifices to establish a nation built upon principles that were revolutionary for their time.
The idea that our rights come from our Creator rather than our government.
The idea that government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed.
The idea that liberty requires both responsibility and virtue.
Those principles didn’t preserve themselves for 250 years.
And they won’t preserve themselves for the next 250, either.
That’s our job.
Not just for ourselves, but for our children and grandchildren.
And that’s why I believe events like this matter.
Because every person who becomes more informed, every parent who becomes more engaged, every student who discovers a calling to leadership, and every community that begins taking responsibility for its own future represents another opportunity to strengthen the Republic.
We don’t need everyone to do everything.
But imagine what could happen if everyone decided to do something.
And Did I Mention We’re Feeding You, Too?
Because four hours of saving the Republic works up an appetite! 😁
Your $25 admission includes dinner, which we’ll serve immediately following the event.
So plan to stick around, enjoy a meal, and continue some of the conversations we started throughout the afternoon.
In fact, some of my favorite moments at these events happen when the formal program is over.
That’s when people start exchanging phone numbers, sharing ideas, asking questions, and discovering that someone sitting across the room has been thinking about doing the very same thing they’ve been considering.
Those connections matter.
And if you’re already a member of Patriot Academy’s 1776ers monthly giving community, your admission is FREE!
And yes, you STILL get dinner!
Consider it a small thank-you for the investment you’re already making in the mission of equipping Americans to preserve our Republic.
So whether you’re attending for $25 or joining us as a 1776er, you’ll get an afternoon of constitutional education, meaningful conversations, inspiration from the next generation, and a good meal to wrap it all up.
Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon, if you ask me!
I’d Love to See You on October 24th!
If you’re anywhere near the Pittsburgh area, I hope you’ll consider spending the afternoon with us.
Bring your spouse. Bring a friend. Bring your teenagers. Bring someone who loves America but isn’t quite sure how to get involved.
You don’t have to be a Patriot Academy Constitution Coach or know anything about our programs to attend.
In fact, if this is all brand new to you, that’s wonderful!
We’ll learn together, have some fun, hear from our Leadership Congress graduates, and hopefully leave a little more encouraged about America’s future than we were when we arrived.
