I’m Hosting Something Special on April 25th
America 250: How We Save the Republic One Community at a Time
This all started with a simple assignment.
My 11-year-old was challenged at school to memorize the Preamble to the Constitution… and then recite it to as many adults as possible to earn signatures.
Now, if you know her, you know this isn’t exactly her comfort zone.
She’s not the one who naturally seeks out the spotlight.
She’s not typically a performer.
But for some reason…
She lit up.
She was determined.
And she did it — confidently, boldly, and better than I ever expected.
And as I watched her step into something that normally would have made her shrink back, it sparked a bigger conversation in our home.
What if this didn’t stop as a school assignment?
What if this became something more?
🌱And That’s When It Grew
What started with one child quickly spread.
My 8-year-old, Hallie, wanted in.
“I want to do the Pledge of Allegiance.”
Then my 15-year-old, Savanna — who has always had a gift for memorization — said:
“I’ll do the Declaration of Independence.”
And just like that…
It wasn’t just an assignment anymore.
It became a picture of something much bigger.

Not in Washington.
Not in headlines.
Not in political talking points.

In kids who are learning, stepping up, and realizing they’re part of something bigger than themselves.

And if I’m being honest…
When I talk to people right now, I hear something else too.
I hear confusion.
I hear concern.
I hear people trying to sort through competing narratives — even within the conservative and MAGA movement — and not always knowing what to believe.
That kind of division can feel paralyzing.
It makes people hesitate.
It makes people second-guess.
It makes people feel like maybe the best thing to do is… nothing.
But that’s exactly where we can’t stay.
Because while we may not be able to control every headline…
every narrative…
or every debate happening at the national level…
👉 We can control what we do locally.
And somewhere along the way, we were led to believe that real change only happens at the national level.
But that’s never been true.
Real change happens when:
People understand the system
People engage locally
People take responsibility for their communities
That’s how the Republic has always been sustained.
And in times like this — when things feel uncertain —
coming back to what we can control isn’t just helpful…
It’s essential.

Watching my daughter step out of her comfort zone… and then watching it inspire her sisters…
That’s what reminded me:
This isn’t just about information.
It’s about activation.
It’s about raising up the next generation — not someday, but right now.
