When most Americans picture the Declaration of Independence, they imagine fifty-six men gathered around a table on July 4, 1776, each taking turns signing the document before heading home to celebrate the birth of a new nation.

It’s an iconic image.

We’ve all seen it.

The problem with that is, it’s mostly wrong…

… Okay, maybe not “wrong”, per se’

Just historically inaccurate.

And since today is August 2nd, I thought it would be fun to share a few fascinating facts just for my paid subscribers about one of the most important documents in human history—facts that even many history buffs don’t know.
