At this point, I realize that we’re getting into the weeds of the electoral process, but the weeds is where I live nowadays. Without honest, hardworking people willing to get involved to make the complicated details just a little bit simpler and easier to comprehend, we’re not going to make it.

With that said, here is the current challenge on the topic of reporting:

How do the tallies from the voting machines get from the polling location where you and I cast our ballot to the media where the average person gets to see the final but unofficial “result” of the election? And where are the gaps along the way where something can go wrong or cheating can occur?
